fresh cuisine in bali

Welcome to Warung Citronnelle!

bar area

Located on the east coast of Bali in the small fishing village of Jasri, Karangasem, our restaurant features an open and breezy space nestled in a coconut grove amidst secluded gardens. It’s a little retreat far from everything where one can feel at home and unwind while having a nice meal. You’ll find us out of the beaten path on the road to the beach.

Our guests can expect to enjoy a hearty and eclectic home-style selection of dishes; fresh tuna burgers with curry slaw; seafood and vegetarian coconut curries; grilled tiger prawns and fresh caught local fish with ginger butter, sambals and fragrant nasi kuning; wild mushrooms salad with crispy tempeh or chicken schnitzel with parmesan crust and fresh marinara dipping sauce as well as scrumptious sandwiches for lunch. The menu is rustic, wholesome and focused on local and fresh ingredients.

Many fruits and spices grow in our gardens, bananas, papayas, limes, mangoes, passion fruits, galangal, torch ginger and turmeric that we use in our dishes. From time to time, local friends stop by to bring octopus, sea urchins, mushrooms, fern tips and bamboo shoots that are featured in our specials.

We make all our breads and pastries and the rice served is the original Padi Bali, grown in Singaraja, our coffee comes from a small farm in Kintamani. We serve Alto water from a natural source in Java and the ice cubes are made with pure water.

The menu is kept intentionally short in order to start fresh every morning. We never use MSG and make our own chutneys, BBQ sauce, pickles and sambals as well as goat milk ricotta and fresh goat cheese from local milk.

Our menu includes many vegetarian and vegan options every day and we have a nice selection of fresh juices, wines and cocktails. Our place is friendly, casual and we hope you feel at home and enjoy your time with us.
